Can I rent a car on Jost Van Dyke?

Yes — 4x4 vehicles are recommended due to the island’s steep terrain. Reserve in advance. Approx. $65–85/day.

  • Paradise Jeep Rentals: (284) 495-9477 Email: [email protected]
  • JVD Car Rental: (284) 542-5959
  • Inter-Island Jeep Rentals: (284) 542-1623

💡 Insider Tip: Tip: Take the ridge road for sunset views — bring a bottle of wine for the perfect evening.

We recommend contacting them well in advance of your trip, especially during high season. They all provide good service. They will usually bring your vehicle to the ferry dock (Inter-Island is located at ferry dock) to meet you upon your arrival.

If you arrive at our private dock via water taxi, our staff can help you retrieve your vehicle upon your arrival. Please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.

💡 Insider Tip: The car rental businesses can be difficult to reach at times. The best method is to book on-line, if possible, and book early.

How do I get to the Villa once I am on Jost van Dyke?

We will send you directions to the villa once you have booked and your booking is confirmed. Depending on how you arrive to JVD via private water taxi or ferry, those directions will vary slightly.

Frankly, the most important question, how do you pronounce Jost?
  • Locals say Jost with a “J”
  • Some (like Kenny Chesney) say Yost with a “Y”
Either way works — it’s island time! 🌴
